Job summary

n Human Resources & Management Systems [ nHRMS ] invites a Senior Data Engineer to own end-to-end data pipeline design on Azure, spanning ingestion, transformation, warehousing and reporting. You will work across Spark, PySpark and Delta Lake, building scalable ETL/ELT workflows.

You will develop data models and semantic layers using Azure Analysis Services, create dashboards in Power BI, and optimize queries in MS SQL.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in Data Engineering within IT services or a related industry.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, and Delta Lake.
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Analysis Services.
• Strong SQL skills (MS SQL) for data modeling, transformation, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Develop and optimize big data processing workflows using Apache Spark and PySpark.
• Build and maintain data models and semantic layers using Azure Analysis Services for reporting and analytics.
• Develop dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI for business stakeholders.
• Write and optimize complex queries in MS SQL / SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using Azure DevOps.
• Administer and monitor Azure Cloud infrastructure supporting data platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and performance optimization across pipelines and platforms.
• (Value-add) Support SAP Basis Administration and Oracle Database Administration tasks where required.

Role Summary

Preferred Certifications

• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional
• Any additional Microsoft/Azure or Data Engineering certifications will be a plus
