Avantor is looking for Sr. Data Engineer who implements tactical data engineering goals, driving advancements in scalable data pipelines, cloud integration, and enterprise-wide data accessibility. Contributes to the achievement of strategic data engineering objectives by enhancing ETL processes, optimizing database performance, and reinforcing security and compliance standards. Manage large-scale data engineering projects and operational processes, overseeing the implementation of innovative architectures, automation strategies, and big data solutions. Directs the efforts of teams within projects, ensuring effective execution and alignment with organizational data strategies. Works on complex data challenges that require deep evaluation of variable factors, including evolving technologies, regulatory shifts, and business needs. Adapts existing precedents and introduces new methodologies, making strategic departures from traditional data engineering approaches to develop impactful solutions. Communicating with and influences senior leadership, advocating for scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions that drive business innovation. Strengthens relationships and networks with senior internal and external stakeholders, often educating and persuading those unfamiliar with technical data concepts to drive adoption and strategic alignment.
