Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Solutions Architect to design scalable, secure, and modern data solutions for enterprise data and AI initiatives. You will translate business requirements into end‑to‑end architectures and lead architecture design reviews across a multi‑national team.

You will work on cloud data platforms, data modernization, and migrations involving Azure Databricks and Delta Lake, ensuring performance, governance, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 12–22 years of IT experience including data architecture, solution architecture, or data engineering.
• Strong production‑ready data architecture design experience.
• Hands‑on with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Solid knowledge of Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Proficiency in SQL and modern data platforms (data modeling and governance).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into end‑to‑end data solution architectures.
• Design solutions using data warehouse, data lake, lakehouse, Lambda and Kappa patterns.
• Lead architecture design reviews and feasibility assessments.
• Design and support cloud data platforms and data modernization initiatives.
• Guide data engineering, analytics, cloud, and DevOps teams to ensure scalable, secure solutions.
