Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Data Solutions Architect to design scalable, secure data solutions for enterprise data and AI initiatives. The role involves translating business requirements into end-to-end architectures and leading reviews across data platforms.

Key responsibilities include designing with Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, Lambda/Kappa patterns, and guiding cross-functional teams through migration to modern cloud data platforms.

Qualifications

• 12–22 years of IT experience including data/solution architecture or data engineering.
• Proven track record designing production-ready data architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Proficiency in SQL and modern data platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Requirements

• 12-22 years of overall experience in IT, including experience in data architecture, solution architecture, or data engineering
• Strong experience designing production-ready data architectures
• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake
• Proficiency in SQL and modern data platforms
• Understanding of batch, streaming, ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data governance
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
• Nice to have Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala
• Familiarity with Informatica MDM, Celonis, or Azure Data Factory
• Background in cloud migration or data and AI platforms
