Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a writer/storyteller with 8-10 years of experience and a background in tech, deep‑tech, aviation, defence or advanced engineering sectors.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience in:

• Content teams in media publications, content writing firms, think tanks, or in‑house communications at a deep‑tech company.
• Writing by‑lined articles, op‑eds, and executive thought leadership.
• Managing company handles on LinkedIn, X, and founder‑led narratives.
• Exposure to Deep tech/Tech writing.
• Worked closely with founders, engineers, scientists, and product teams.

This individual should be capable of independently handling high‑output content requirements, with strong research depth and the ability to translate technical complexity into compelling narratives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high‑quality, insight‑led content across formats (long‑form, mid‑form, short‑form).
• Research, analyse, and translate technical, policy, and industry developments into strategic narratives.
• Write op‑eds, explainers, blogs, newsletters, and social media content aligned with the company positioning.
• Manage and evolve founder voice and brand voice across platforms.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of external content (media + owned channels).
• Decode complex technical material and write assertive, non‑generic, point‑of‑view‑driven content.
• Convert research into insight‑led, forward‑looking, opinion‑driven content (not descriptive summaries).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, engineering, or related fields.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience in deep‑tech, aerospace, defence, or similar sectors.
• Strong familiarity with: Space/aerospace ecosystem, Defence and policy landscape & Technical documentation (whitepapers, reports, research papers).

Preferred Qualities

Prior experience in space, aerospace, or deep‑tech ecosystems.

Strong editorial judgement with the ability to move beyond descriptive writing into opinion and POV building.

Ability to craft

• Founder voice (vision‑led, credible, factually grounded).
• Brand voice (confident, technical, strategic, future‑facing).

Proven capability across formats

• Long‑form: Op‑eds, whitepapers, newsletters
