Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Intelligence team. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data models and analytical assets that power reporting and self‑service analytics across the organization. You will partner closely with data platforms and product teams to deliver high‑quality, governed, and performant datasets and dashboards, upholding best practices and standards. What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into functional requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Build and optimize Tableau dashboards and KPI frameworks with a focus on performance, usability, governance, and row‑level security.
- Ensure data consistency and quality in reports by working closely with the data management team.
- Apply best practices in dbt modeling, testing, version control, and release management to ensure high‑quality, maintainable pipelines.
- Perform data analysis and ad‑hoc queries to support business decision‑making.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging BI technologies.
What You’ll Need
Must‑haves
- 6+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or data engineering, preferably in healthcare or another data‑rich, regulated domain.
- Self‑starter, able to work independently, able to succeed in a fast‑paced, high‑intensity start‑up environment.
- Excellent English communication skills, with proven ability to create & deliver the results of analyses to non‑technical audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong hands‑on experience with analytics engineering frameworks such as dbt.
- Strong experience with Tableau (Cloud and Desktop), including dashboard development, row‑level security, performance optimization, and basic administration.
- Experience working with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
- Experience working in AWS‑based data platforms.
Nice‑to‑haves
- Experience with dbt or similar tools.
- Experience with Python.
- Exposure to additional BI platforms such as Power BI, Sisense, or open‑source BI tools.
- Experience supporting dashboard embedding and integration into web applications.
- Background in healthcare payer analytics, utilization management, or clinical workflows.
- Previous experience working in a global model.
Ability To Commute/relocate
- Hyderabad, Telangana: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Preferred).
