Sr Associate Software Engineer Safety ART - Safety Reporting
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will deliver innovative custom solutions to support pharmacovigilance (PV) and adhere to global regulatory requirements. You will actively participate in the team, working on advancing technical features and enhancements of PV business applications, including Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing technologies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Write SQL queries to manipulate and visualize data using data visualization tools
- Ensure design and development of software solutions meet architectural, security, quality, and development guidelines
- Participate in Agile development ceremonies and practices
- Develop and deliver robust technology solutions in a regulated environment by collaborating with business partners, IS colleagues, and service providers
- Author documentation for technical specifications and designs satisfying detailed business and functional requirements
- Work closely with business and IS teams to identify opportunities
- Build end-to-end solutions using cloud technologies (e.g., AWS) and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Cognos, Tableau, Spotfire)
- Contribute to design and rapid Proof-of-Concept (PoC) development for automated solutions to improve efficiency and business processes
What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree with 1-3 years of software engineering experience
- Or Bachelor’s degree with 4-5 years of experience
- Or Diploma with 7-9 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills:
- Experience with programming languages/technologies such as SQL and Python
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Cognos, Tableau, or Spotfire
- Familiarity with automation technologies like UiPath and a willingness to learn
- Understanding of AWS/cloud storage, hosting, and compute environments
- Experience in SDLC processes including requirements, design, testing, and change control
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in data modeling concepts
- Understanding of API integrations (e.g., MuleSoft) and ETL technologies (e.g., Informatica, Databricks)
- Proficiency in general programming languages
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge of Computer Systems Validation, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP Compliance
- Strong problem-solving, learning agility, and analytical skills
Professional Certifications:
- Experience with Agile methodology and DevOps
- Agile Software Engineer certification (preferred)
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Expertise in data visualization and manipulation
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- High learning agility, innovation, and analytical skills
