Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's with required years of experience in enterprise AI-enabled apps.
• Experience building AI-enabled, automation-driven full-stack applications across frontend, middleware and backend.
• Proficient in Python, JavaScript and SQL/NoSQL with scalable microservices and React-based apps.
• Experience developing integrations using Databricks as middleware with APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with GenAI systems (LLMs, RAG, agent orchestration) and rapid prototyping.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Role Description:

In this role, you build and deliver AI-enabled full-stack solutions that support Contracting Operations and Revenue Management platforms within Amgen's Global Commercial Operations and Corporate Functions Technology organization.

Your work will focus on integrating AI capabilities into practical full-stack solutions that reduce manual effort, improve data quality and increase process efficiency. This role is suited for engineers who are comfortable working across multiple systems, learning new domains over time and owning delivery from concept through implementation. You will operate within a defined problem space, partnering with senior leaders to shape solution approaches and guide implementation across a small team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Build and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade full-stack AI applications using React, Node.js, Python and Large Language Model APIs.
• Develop and manage robust integrations leveraging Databricks as the middleware platform, enabling seamless data and service orchestration.
• Contribute to AI-driven use cases, including workflow automation and lightweight assistant capabilities that enhance user productivity.
• Collaborate closely with architecture, AI platform teams and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to drive CI/CD pipeline enhancements.
• Participate in testing (unit, integration) and support defect resolution, data fixes and issue troubleshooting within scope.
• Ensure adherence to design standards, best practices and documentation for maintainability and consistency.
• Escalate risks, dependencies, or design issues beyond scope and continuously expand skills across platforms and technologies

Technology Focus Areas:

• Implement end-to-end generative AI full-stack applications and AI-driven automation solutions that enable workflow orchestration and process optimization.
• Develop scalable backend services using Node.js and Python-based microservices, along with well-defined APIs to support enterprise applications.
• Build and integrate responsive frontend experiences using React, ensuring seamless interaction with AI-powered backend systems with Databricks Integration.
• Leverage enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Conga CLM/CPQ, Model N, Databricks, and Anaplan to deliver integrated, business-critical solutions.
• Utilize AI orchestration frameworks, APIs and machine learning libraries to develop intelligent, scalable, and production-ready solutions.
• Work with AI assistants and copilots, incorporating vector search, embedding-based retrieval and prompt-driven workflows within enterprise ecosystems.
• Integrate with enterprise AI services such as Azure OpenAI and similar platforms to enable advanced generative AI capabilities within applications.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's degree and 2-4 years of experience
• OR
• Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of experience
• AND
• Experience developing enterprise-grade, AI-enabled and automation-driven applications, with strong full-stack expertise across frontend, middleware and backend layers.
• Proficient in full-stack development using Python, JavaScript and SQL/NoSQL with experience building scalable microservices and React-based applications.
• Experience developing integrations using Databricks as a middleware platform, along with APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Experience in AI experimentation and GenAI systems (LLMs, RAG, agent orchestration) with rapid prototyping and outcome-driven development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly learn, collaborate across product/engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks, APIs and machine learning libraries.
• Experience configuring workflows, rules or automation within enterprise platforms.
• Experience supporting system integrations or data synchronization processes.
• Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.
• Demonstrated progression in taking on increasingly complex technical responsibilities within a team setting.
