Job summary

Amgen in India is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, deploy complex software applications and mentor junior developers. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

You will apply cloud-based architectures on AWS and leverage generative AI, LLMs, and AI orchestration to drive innovative, reliable systems. Strong full-stack skills with Python, JavaScript, and SQL/NoSQL are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with cloud services and well-architected cloud design principles.
• Full stack development with Python, JavaScript, SQL/NoSQL.
• Experience building or integrating applications with generative AI, LLMs, agentic workflows, RAG patterns, or AI orchestration frameworks.
• Strong problem solving, analytical skills; ability to learn quickly; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to both front-end and back-end development using cloud technology.
• Possesses strong rapid prototyping skills and can quickly translate concepts into working code.
• Develop innovative solution using generative AI technologies

• Define and implement robust software architectures on the cloud, AWS preferred
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Create and maintain documentation on software architecture, design, deployment, disaster recovery, and operations.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges effectively.

• Hands on experience with various cloud services, understand pros and cons of various cloud service in well architected cloud design principles
• Hands on experience with Full Stack software development. Proficient in programming language Python(preferred), JavaScript, SQL/NoSQL.
• Experience building or integrating applications with generative AI, LLMs, agentic workflows, RAG patterns, or AI orchestration frameworks.
• Strong problem solving, analytical skills; Ability to learn quickly; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experienced with API integration, serverless, microservices architecture.
• Experience in SQL/NOSQL database, vector database for large language models
• Experience with popular large language models
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar agent frameworks.
• Experience with vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, reranking, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, or LLM evaluation. Experience with prompt engineering, model fine tuning
• Experience with Web site development, understand of web site localization processes, which involve adapting content to fit cultural and linguistic contexts.
• Experience with DevOps/MLOps CICD build and deployment pipeline
• Experience with design patterns, data structures, test-driven development
• Knowledge of NLP techniques for text analysis and sentiment analysis

Education and Professional Certifications

Bachelor's OR Master's degree in computer science and engineering preferred, other Engineering field is considered; 8 to 12 years of software development experience Cloud Computing certificate preferred
