Role Overview

Salesforce QA Engineer is responsible for the quality and reliability of Salesforce applications and integrations. The role requires strong experience in testing Salesforce solutions, automation frameworks, and a deep understanding of Salesforce functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute test strategy, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce applications such as Sales, Service, Experience, Revenue Cloud, and custom apps.
• Define test environment and data requirements, collaborating with the development team to ensure availability.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing for Salesforce implementations.
• Automate and execute regression test cases to maximize test coverage.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across Salesforce objects and integrations.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and identify defects early.
• Conduct sanity tests to ensure systems are production‑ready.
• Track and report defects using Jira or similar tools, ensuring timely resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement in QA processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• At least 5 years of functional and automated testing experience with Salesforce applications.
• Experience preparing test plans and writing test cases.
• Knowledge of Salesforce data model, security model, and customizations.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Provar, or similar).
• Familiarity with API testing (REST/SOAP) and integration validation.
• Experience conducting load and performance tests.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience using JIRA and similar tools.
• Experience in a client‑facing role.

Certifications

• Provar Automation
• Selenium WebDriver

Nice-to-Have

• Admin or Advanced Admin
• Business Analyst
• Experience with test automation frameworks for Salesforce using tools such as Selenium, Provar or TestNG.
