Role Overview
Salesforce QA Engineer is responsible for the quality and reliability of Salesforce applications and integrations. The role requires strong experience in testing Salesforce solutions, automation frameworks, and a deep understanding of Salesforce functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute test strategy, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce applications such as Sales, Service, Experience, Revenue Cloud, and custom apps.
- Define test environment and data requirements, collaborating with the development team to ensure availability.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing for Salesforce implementations.
- Automate and execute regression test cases to maximize test coverage.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across Salesforce objects and integrations.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and identify defects early.
- Conduct sanity tests to ensure systems are production‑ready.
- Track and report defects using Jira or similar tools, ensuring timely resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement in QA processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- At least 5 years of functional and automated testing experience with Salesforce applications.
- Experience preparing test plans and writing test cases.
- Knowledge of Salesforce data model, security model, and customizations.
- Hands‑on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Provar, or similar).
- Familiarity with API testing (REST/SOAP) and integration validation.
- Experience conducting load and performance tests.
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands‑on experience using JIRA and similar tools.
- Experience in a client‑facing role.
Certifications
- Provar Automation
- Selenium WebDriver
Nice-to-Have
- Admin or Advanced Admin
- Business Analyst
- Experience with test automation frameworks for Salesforce using tools such as Selenium, Provar or TestNG.
