Job summary

WTW Global Delivery And Solutions in Mumbai seeks a finance professional with 1–3 years of experience to support Global accounting functions. You will manage International & Western Europe accounts, perform monthly close activities, and create analytics using Excel, Power BI, and Power Query. Responsibilities

• Manage International and Western Europe country accounts and liaise with country CFOs for monthly, quarterly, and yearly closes.
• Prepare monthly reports, budgets, forecasting, expense analysis, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Develop dashboards using Power BI; utilize Power Query for data extraction and automation.
• Support new systems and drive process improvements; ensure data integrity and timelines.

Job description

Candidate with 1 to 3 years of experience with strong inter-personal skills and a desire to make a difference and value in the General Accounting function. Ideal candidate should have a focus to support finance functions of various legal entities across the globe and co-ordinate with different business units and the Central Finance team. He should have an understating of core Accounting work along with strong Excel skills, should be able to work independently and analyse and resolve the queries from countries. He should be able to communicate effectively and should have the ability to adapt to changing environment and new systems.

Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for managing International & Western Europe Country Accounts and liaison with respective country CFOs Accountants to ensure a smooth Monthly Quarterly Yearly closing
• Monthly reporting on Accounts, Budgets, Forecasting, Expense Analysis, Intercompany Reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Experience in Power Query for data extraction, transformation, automation, and reporting.
• Working knowledge of Power BI for dashboard development, visualization, and business reporting.
• Good PowerPoint skills for preparing management presentations, financial reviews, and business updates.
• Exposure to process automation and continuous improvement initiatives will be an added advantage
• Reverting to and following up on International & Western Europe queries.
• Ensure that all the International & Western Europe Country Accounting books are closed by WD4 as per Local GAAP & US GAAP.
• Take the responsibility to reconcile all the International & Western Europe country accounts with the General Ledger within the Group timelines thereby highlighting and resolving the differences.
• Ensure that all International & Western Europe and Western Europe Countries submit various MIS reports, Cash Flows, HOF Certificates and also present the reports to UK counterparts as per Group Specific Timelines.
• To support new systems
• Support the team in day to day management of accounts
• Review the objectives with the team to understand the strategies and challenge areas in meeting them
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships
• Participate in knowledge sharing forums across the organization
• Ensure absolute data integrity and minimize the error related to processing
• Monitor Compliance guidelines in achieving the monthly Targets/Metrics
• Ensure application of controls to overcome loopholes in the processes
• Monitor and achieve the Metrics of the team

Requirements:

• Excellent stakeholder management skills and proven interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels whilst working under pressure.
• Understanding of the role of Finance within a large multinational organisation.
• Technical knowledge of using Power Query/ Power Bi / PPT/ VBA Macros
• Good financial background with a good understanding of all aspects of finance.
• Good understanding of financial systems e.g. Oracle, etc.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a changing environment
• Has strong critical thinking and the ability to assess various complex issues and come to quick solutions.
• Excellent analytical skills

Knowledge/Experience:

• Should have Proficiency of MS Office Suite and proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision, but with ability to communicate issues, delays and exceptions as necessary.
• Building good relationships with offshore teams and influencing individuals
• Previous experience that demonstrates ownership, management and development of end to end process
• Knowledge of US GAAP, working knowledge of Oracle General Ledger system, Blackline, CoPilot Eclipse, FAH, Qlickview, Alteryx Reconciliation System & Business Object Tool like MR3 and ER2 will be an added advantage.
