Job summary

Amgen India, part of the Global Commercial Operations Finance group, seeks an experienced FP&A professional. Reporting to the GCO Finance lead, you will manage OPEX budgeting and reporting, deliver variance analysis, accruals, and PO setup, and provide data-driven insights to leadership across therapeutic areas.

The role emphasizes monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, standardization, and data integrity through master data maintenance. CA/MBA/CMA with 5–8 years’ experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• FP&A experience with strong financial data management and forecasting.
• Experience in variance analysis and OPEX reporting in a product or pharma-like environment.
• Ability to drive insights from data and support budgeting and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the GCO OPEX Budget Coordinator, handling monthly/quarterly OPEX reporting, variance analysis, accruals, and PO setup.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for Obesity leadership and other Therapeutic areas in GCO.
• Support the OPEX lead, brand finance lead with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
• Provide data-driven insights into performance drivers, cost trends, and business risks/opportunities.
• Contribute to standardization and automation initiatives to improve process efficiency.
• Master Data Maintenance across systems for cost centers, WBS, and reporting alignment.

The Global Commercial Operation (GCO), experienced FP&A professional skilled in comprehensive financial data management, financial analysis and forecasting, adhoc project financial support, and process optimization.
Education:

CA, MBA, CMA
Experience:
5 to 8 Years
Preferably candidates with FP&A experience in similar industries or Product based -would beneficial for the requirement.

• Serves as the GCO OPEX Budget Coordinator, with responsibilities for monthly and quarterly OPEX reporting, variance analysis, accrual preparation and review, invoice processing, Purchase Order setup, along with ad-hoc analysis.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for Obesity leadership as well as other Therapeutic areas in GCO.

• Support the OPEX lead, brand finance lead with financial planning and OPEX support for key budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.

• Provide clear, data-driven insights into performance drivers, cost trends, and business risks/opportunities.

• Contribute to standardization and automation initiatives to improve process efficiency.

• Master Data Maintenance including managing and updating financial master data across all systems to ensure accuracy and integrity, cost center creation, modification, and deactivation, aligning them with the organizational structure. creation of WBS for project tracking and financial reporting..
