Job summary

Amgen Inc. in Hyderabad seeks a Senior Associate Business Systems Analyst to evolve Procure to Pay capabilities during ERP transition to S/4HANA. You will collaborate across Product Owners, SMEs, and customers to shape processes, write detailed user requirements, and ensure the backlog aligns with strategic goals.

You will support SAP users, drive agile delivery, and help deliver non-functional requirements while maintaining thorough documentation and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 9 years of information systems experience.
• Experience with writing user requirements and acceptance criteria in agile systems (JIRA).
• Hands on experience in procurement tools SAP MM and/or SAP Ariba.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies and ability to drive projects using Agile.
• Provide support to SAP users, including troubleshooting and training.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners and System Architects to manage business analysis activities.
• Understand customer needs to shape business processes and product requirements.
• Define scope and value for new developments with Product Managers and customers.
• Prioritize release scopes and refine the Product backlog with stakeholders.
• Ensure non-functional requirements are prioritized in backlogs.
• Break Epics into Features and Sprint-Sized User Stories; participate in backlog reviews.
• Express features in User Stories so the team understands backlog fit.
• Ensure Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done are clear.
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations for stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and changes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Associate Business Systems Analyst within our global Technology team, this role will help evolve the Procure to pay (P2P) capabilities and support transition from our worldwide ERP instance on SAP ECC to the S/4HANA Intelligent Enterprise. Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners and System Architects to manage business analysis activities, ensuring alignment with business and product goals
• Understand customer needs to shape business processes and product requirements
• Work with Product Managers and customers to define scope and value for new developments
• Collaborate with Business SMEs and Product Management to prioritize release scopes and refine the Product backlog
• Ensure non-functional requirements are included and prioritized in the Product and Release Backlogs
• Facilitate the breakdown of Epics into Features and Sprint-Sized User Stories and participate in backlog reviews with the product team
• Clearly express features in User Stories/requirements so all team members and stakeholders understand how they fit into the product backlog
• Ensure Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done are well-defined and understood
• Stay focused on software development to ensure it meets requirements, providing proactive feedback to stakeholders
• Develop and execute effective product demonstrations for internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and changes

Basic Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 9 years of information systems experience
• Must-Have Skills Experience with writing user requirements and acceptance criteria in agile project management systems such as JIRA
• Hands on experience in procurement tools like SAP MM and/or SAP Ariba
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies and ability to drive projects using Agile methodology
• Provide support to SAP users, including troubleshooting issues and providing training

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with stakeholder management, ensuring seamless coordination across teams and driving the successful delivery of technical projects
• Experience in managing product features for PI planning and developing product roadmaps
• Able to communicate technical or complex subject matters in business terms
• Experience of DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery methodology. Experience with Jira Align is a plus
