Job summary

RSM is seeking a Senior Associate to support client service delivery, including reviews/compilations of financial statements and employee benefit plan audits. You will coordinate with engagement teams, apply US GAAP/GAAS standards, and contribute to high-quality deliverables.

The role blends office and home work with limited client site engagement, requiring strong analytical skills and proactive communication with Managers and Partners. A CA/ACCA/CPA or relevant degree boosts eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in commerce, accounting, or finance.
• CA qualified with 1 year relevant experience; ACCA/CPA with 2 years relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and audit software tools.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP/GAAS or other relevant standards; ability to apply them.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Key responsibilities as outlined in the job summary include executing core functions of the Senior Associate role, contributing to team objectives, maintaining quality standards, and supporting client service delivery.
• Primarily serve clients that require a review or compilation of their financial statements as well as clients that require an audit of their employee benefit plans.
• Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the review of all required financial statements, related disclosures and other client deliverables
• Develop an understanding of the client's business, and become an industry specialist to understand client specific needs
• Understand and utilize RSM's audit, review and compilation methodologies
• Function as in-charge facilitating client work by monitoring and reporting regarding productivity and adherence to work plan schedules on each assignment
• Work on multiple on-going engagements
• Anticipate and address client concerns and raise issues as they arise
• Interact with clients to help ensure the information flow from the client to the engagement team is efficient
• Identify and communicate accounting matters to Managers and Partners
• Identify performance improvement opportunities
• Recognize and inform management of opportunities to increase level and types of services to clients
• Ensure professional development through ongoing education
• Work from a combination of office and home, with limited client site work.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Non-qualified : 3+ years of relevant experience
• CA qualified + 1 year relevant experience, ACCA/CPA qualified + 2 years relevant experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Audit software tools.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, US GAAS or other relevant regulatory requirements, with the ability to apply relevant accounting and auditing standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills, with the ability to exercise professional judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience auditing/reviewing/compiling client financial statements
• Demonstrate experience and ability to act as in-charge on engagements
• Experience in Commercial Audit Industry
