Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Architect to design scalable microservices for a global enterprise. You will work on cloud platforms with Java Spring Boot and Angular, guiding agile scrum practices and DevOps automation to deliver resilient, cost-effective solutions.

The role focuses on creating robust architectures, aligning with business strategy, and enhancing customer experience while improving engineering productivity across hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of progressive experience in application architecture focusing on distributed systems and enterprise-scale platforms.
• Advanced hands-on Java core and Spring Boot, designing and implementing complex Spring Boot microservices in production.
• Experience building and operating microservices: service discovery, fault tolerance, config management and API design.
• Extensive exposure to AWS services (compute, storage, networking, security) with cloud-native workloads deployed.
• Solid knowledge of AWS DevOps tooling and practices including pipeline automation and environment standardization.
• Strong Angular frontend proficiency to design modular components and responsive interfaces that integrate with backend microservices.
• Active Agile delivery experience as a Scrum Master or equivalent, facilitating ceremonies and improving team collaboration.
• Excellent communication and documentation capabilities for architectural decisions and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate between twelve and fifteen years of progressive experience in application architecture with a strong focus on distributed systems and enterprise scale platforms.
• Possess advanced hands on expertise in Java core Java and Springboot frameworks including designing and implementing complex Springboot microservices in production environments.
• Show practical experience in building and operating microservices architectures including service discovery fault tolerance configuration management and API design using industry standards.
• Have substantial exposure to AWS services such as compute storage networking and security features with a proven record of deploying and operating cloud native workloads.
• Bring solid knowledge of AWS DevOps tooling and practices including pipeline automation configuration management and environment standardization that supports frequent deployments.
• Exhibit strong proficiency in Angular for front end development with the ability to design modular components and responsive interfaces that integrate seamlessly with backend microservices.
• Apply agile delivery experience as a scrum master or equivalent role by facilitating ceremonies improving team collaboration and ensuring backlog items are refined and executable.
