DESCRIPTION

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations, from foundational services such as Amazon S3 and EC2 to new product features that set AWS apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers requiring specialized security solutions.

We are seeking an Application Engineer in Bangalore, India, to help create, label, and curate data essential for measuring model accuracy and building automation features. The role involves data annotation, understanding data through technical writing and basic coding, and developing applications to generate annotation examples.

Responsibilities

1. Perform root cause analysis using Excel and SQL on annotations to identify quality issues.
2. Develop high-quality applications for data annotation, ensuring prescribed quality and volume.
3. Guide automation improvements to enhance tooling efficiencies.
4. Deliver results on time, maintaining SLAs on velocity, productivity, and quality.

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development or technical support experience
• Experience scripting in modern programming languages
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
• Experience working in agile/scrum environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of distributed and enterprise applications
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems
• Experience analyzing and troubleshooting RESTful web API calls
