Job summary

Envirocare Labs seeks an experienced senior analyst to lead complex analytical work and mentor junior staff in Thane, India.

You will perform advanced analyses, contribute to method development, calibrate instruments, and ensure ISO/NABL compliance while guiding a capable team to meet quality targets.

The role requires 6–8 years in chemistry with strong instrumentation exposure and hands-on leadership in a busy lab environment.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Chemistry or M. Tech in Food Tech with strong instrumentation exposure.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with ISO/NABL compliance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analysis including sample prep, quantification, and interpretation.
• Review analysts' results for assigned parameters.
• Allocate daily tasks to analysts under team lead guidance.
• Lead troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance planning of instruments.
• Assist in method development, validation, and uncertainty estimation.
• Monitor instrument utilization and downtime; report to team lead.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/NABL during audits.
• Train trainees and junior analysts in roles.

Handles complex analytical methods, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior staff; contributes to method development and optimization.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform complex analysis, including sample preparation, quantification and interpretation of analytical results, requiring higher expertise within the defined TAT

• Review the results of work done by analysts for the assigned parameters.

• Allocate daily jobs to Analysts when Team Lead is not available - under TL direction; does not extend to independent allocation decisions without prior TL guidance on priorities and capacity.

• Lead troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance planning of instruments used.

• Assist the team leader or the reporting in charge, in conducting method development, validation, uncertainty estimation.

• Monitor instrument utilization, downtime tracking and report the outcomes to team leader.

• Verify requisition for routine consumables and chemicals raised by analysts

• Report the non conformances, deviations, OOS to Team leader or manager and initiate the corrective action and root cause analysis

• Ensure compliance with ISO/NABL requirements during audits.

• Train and groom the trainee, junior analysts and analysts in their roles.

Prerequisites -

Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry (Any branch of chemistry) / M. Tech Food Tech etc with strong instrumentation exposure
Experience: 6-8 years
