Job summary

ORBCOMM’s VIACHAIN division seeks an FP&A Manager to drive financial planning, forecasting and reporting across a global organization. This hands-on role blends accounting rigor with business insight in a fast-paced tech environment.

Based in Hyderabad in a hybrid setup, you will partner with US and Canada stakeholders, build robust models, support cadence of planning and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• CPA/CA/ACCA/CMA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, or Commercial Finance.
• Experience supporting global organizations and collaborating with international stakeholders.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and business analysis skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
• Experience working with ERP systems, planning tools, BI platforms, and large datasets.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence business partners.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in a private equity-backed company preferred.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to support daily tasks and productivity.
• Commitment to continuous learning in digital and AI literacy.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting with assumptions and detailed financial models.
• Support periodic and rolling forecast processes by updating models and validating assumptions.
• Maintain and track revenue, backlog, and headcount forecasting models.
• Develop and track CapEx and OpEx performance.
• Support monthly financial reporting including Flash reporting and Growth Day materials.
• Maintain key financial and operational metrics for performance analysis and budgeting.
• Perform variance analysis with clear driver-based commentary and insights.
• Prepare initial deal models and CRB presentation materials.
• Partner with Sales to validate deal assumptions and assess financial impacts.
• Conduct account-level pricing, profitability, and revenue analyses.
• Support budget control activities, including PRs, POs, invoicing, and related processes.
• Perform ad hoc analyses and data integrity initiatives.

What You'll Do

Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support the annual budgeting process, including development of assumptions, detailed financial models, and budget consolidations.
• Support periodic and rolling forecast processes by updating models, analyzing trends, and validating assumptions.
• Maintain and enhance revenue, backlog, and headcount forecasting models.
• Develop and track business unit capital expenditure (CapEx) and operating expenditure (OpEx) performance.

Financial Reporting & Performance Analysis

• Support monthly financial reporting processes, including Flash reporting and Growth Day materials.

• Maintain key financial and operational metrics used for performance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Perform variance analysis, including actual versus budget and forecast bridge analyses with clear driver-based commentary.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support business performance and decision-making.

Business Partnering & Commercial Finance Support

• Prepare initial deal models and supporting CRB presentation materials.
• Partner with Sales teams to validate deal assumptions and assess financial impacts.
• Conduct account-level pricing, profitability, and revenue impact analyses.
• Support budget control activities, including purchase requisitions (PRs), purchase orders (POs), invoicing, and related processes.

Data Management, Modeling & Operational Support

• Perform ad hoc financial analyses, reporting, and scenario modeling as required.
• Support month-end close activities and planning/BI data integrity initiatives.
• Work with large datasets and reporting tools to ensure accuracy, consistency, and actionable insights.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, financial models, and analytical capabilities.

Who You Are

You are a highly analytical finance professional who enjoys solving business problems through data, financial modeling, and collaboration. You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and partnering with stakeholders across multiple geographies and functions.

If you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.

• Progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, or Commercial Finance.
• Experience supporting global organizations and collaborating with international stakeholders.
