Qualifications

  • 4+ years in financial reporting, data analytics, or related discipline.
  • Practical experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, BigQuery or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to present insights to senior leadership.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Senior Analyst, FSS Reporting and Analytics will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial data, developing, implementing, and optimizing reporting solutions and data analysis strategies that drive business insights and decision‑making. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence, with a proven ability to transform complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership and business teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting – 20%

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business needs, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop standardized reporting packages, dashboards, and metric‑driven insights for leadership.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, highlighting trends, risks and performance drivers.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, planning and scenario analysis.
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to ensure stakeholders have consistent and timely visibility into operational and financial data.
  • Adjust report design and delivery cadence in response to evolving business or financial shared services requirements.
  • Safeguard data accuracy and integrity across all reporting tools through strong data governance and quality control practices.
  • Monitor and communicate reporting progress and deliverable status to management.

Data Analysis – 30%

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across accounts receivable, collections, cash applications, credit, corrections, billing, and P2P, while conducting in‑depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that guide business decisions.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain financial and analytical models to improve forecasting accuracy and support strategic initiatives.
  • Perform data mining and statistical analysis to uncover patterns within large datasets and provide insights that inform decision‑making.

Business Partnership – 25%

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to department leaders by providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to understand business drivers and translate data into actionable insights that support operational and financial decisions.
  • Present financial results, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.

Automation and Process Efficiency – 15%

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to increase reporting efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting processes, data sources, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure repeatability and compliance.
  • Promote best practices in report reproducibility and establish proactive communication methods for alerting management to production issues and supporting timely resolution.

Audit Support – 5%

  • Provide support to internal and external auditors during financial audits.

Training & Development – 5%

  • Provide training, guidance, and technical support to junior team members on reporting tools, data processes, and analytical techniques.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • No supervisory responsibility required.
DECISION‑MAKING RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This Job has decision‑making responsibilities including:
    • Providing recommendations based on data analysis
    • Developing and updating reports and dashboards to align with business requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Science, Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university is required.
    • MBA or professional certification (CPA, CFA) is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum Required Experience:
    • 4+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including hands‑on budgeting and forecasting in a large corporate environment.
    • 4+ years of experience within Finance & Accounting, Finance Operations, or Shared Services functions.
    • 4+ years of experience in financial reporting, data analytics, or a closely related discipline.
    • Practical, demonstrable experience using SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Google BigQuery, or similar reporting/analytics platforms, with strong skills in extracting, transforming, and modeling complex datasets.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic, results‑oriented decisions and take ownership of outcomes.
    • Proven ability to partner with and present insights directly to senior leadership.
  • Experience in Financial Shared Services
  • Logistics or transportation experience
