Job summary

Signify in Pune, India, is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner to manage end-to-end component planning and MRP for production. You will collaborate with procurement, suppliers, and planning teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability and optimized inventory levels.

The role requires 6–8 years of supply chain experience, master scheduling expertise, and proficiency with SAP ERP and MS Office. You will contribute to NPI/ECO support and data-driven planning performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in operations management or a related field is required.
• 6–8 years of supply chain experience with master scheduling experience preferred.
• Experience working with global suppliers and ERP systems, especially SAP.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end component planning to ensure material availability for production.
• Execute MRP and analyze outputs to identify shortages, excess inventory, and planning gaps.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels through safety stock, reorder points and lead times.
• Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers for timely material deliveries and risk mitigation.
• Lead shortage management activities and support NPI, ECO, and product phase planning.
• Analyze demand fluctuations with Demand/Production planning teams to improve accuracy.
• Monitor supplier performance and recovery plans for critical components.
• Prepare inventory and planning reports for management and drive turnover improvements.
• Maintain SAP Material Master data and validate planning parameters.

What you'll do

• Manage end-to-end component planning to ensure uninterrupted material availability for production.
• Execute Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and analyze planning outputs to identify shortages, excess inventory, and planning exceptions.
• Develop and maintain optimal inventory levels through effective safety stock, reorder point, and lead-time management.
• Coordinate closely with Procurement and suppliers to ensure timely material deliveries and resolve supply risks.
• Lead critical shortage management activities and implement mitigation plans to minimize production disruptions.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), product transitions, and phase-in/phase-out planning.
• Analyze demand fluctuations and collaborate with Demand Planning and Production Planning teams to improve planning accuracy.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery adherence, and recovery plans for critical components.
• Prepare and present inventory, material availability, and planning performance reports to management.
• Drive inventory optimization initiatives to reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory while improving inventory turnover.
• Maintain Effective communication with internal stakeholders.
• Material Master Data - Maintain and validate Material Master data in SAP to ensure planning accuracy and data integrity.
• Analyze and update key planning parameters including Procurement Type, MRP Type, MRP Controller, Safety Stock, Reorder Point, PIR LT & PDT.
• Develop reports and dashboards to monitor MM data quality and planning parameter accuracy.
• Meets defined SLA and KPI's on performance and quality in given TAT.
• Key Skills - ERP knowledge preferably SAP, Inventory Management, Supplier coordination

What you’ll need

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university. Master in operations management/SCM would be plus.
• 6-8 years supply chain experience.
• Master scheduling experience is must.
• Working with global suppliers for open orders to meet revenue goals of the factory operations.
• Proficiency in MS office.
• Project management experience.
