Job summary

IntraEdge is seeking a Sr. AI/ML Engineer with 6+ years of software engineering and AI/ML app development experience. You will design, build, and deploy scalable AI/ML-enabled backend services using Python, Django, and FastAPI in a cloud-native setup.

You will implement microservices, REST APIs, and containerized apps with Docker, while driving CI/CD automation and collaborating with DevOps and data science teams to ship production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering and AI/ML application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Strong experience with Django and/or FastAPI.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience developing microservices.
• Strong experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

We are looking for a Sr. AI/ML Engineer with 6+ years of experience in software engineering and AI/ML application development. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Python, Django, FastAPI, Microservices, containerized applications, and CI/CD automation.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and deploying scalable AI/ML-enabled applications and backend services in a modern cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable AI/ML-enabled applications and backend services using Python.
• Build and maintain microservices using Django, FastAPI, and related Python frameworks.
• Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance REST APIs for application and system integration.
• Integrate AI/ML models and services into production applications and enterprise workflows.
• Develop reusable, modular, and maintainable application components following software engineering best practices.
• Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and other container technologies.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to deploy and manage applications across different environments.
• Troubleshoot application, API, deployment, and production issues and implement effective solutions.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, technical documentation, and architecture decisions.
• Work closely with Data Scientists, AI/ML Engineers, Architects, QA, DevOps, and Product teams.
• Follow Agile/Scrum practices and contribute across the complete software development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of overall software engineering/application development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Strong experience with Django and/or FastAPI.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience developing microservices.
• Strong experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD automation and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

AI/ML Skills

• Good understanding of AI/ML concepts and application development.
• Experience integrating AI/ML models or services into production applications.
• Understanding of model serving, inference APIs, and AI/ML integration.
• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, or AI-powered applications is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and MLOps practices is desirable.

Good to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Exposure to application monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Experience with cloud-native and event-driven architectures.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
