Job summary

Honeywell Blending and Movement (HBM) Lead Engineer will drive Blending and Movement Management solutions for Refining, Terminals Oil & Gas and Chemical industries.

You will lead end-to-end projects from functional design to implementation, including design docs, training, KOMs, and regular progress updates with clients and managers.

Qualifications

• 12-15 years’ experience in project engineering with blending/movement exposure.
• Strong knowledge of refinery tank farms and terminal ops.
• Hands-on with DCS/PLC/SCADA and control logic development.
• HBM modules: Inventory Monitor, Movement Monitor, Movement Control, Blend Optimizer.
• SQL queries and basic DB management know-how.
• Integration with OPC/OLEDB/ODBC and web services knowledge.
• P&IDs, loop drawings, control narratives, FDS/DDS familiarity.
• Experience implementing Honeywell Aveva/Yokogawa suites in projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Blending and Movement projects from design to implementation.
• Create design documents, test procedures, and training materials.
• Lead customer meetings: KOM, design workshops, training, testing.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and clients to define scope & milestones.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Honeywell Blending and Movement (HBM) Lead Engineer will lead and deliver Blending and Movement Management solutions implementation for Refining, Terminals Oil and Gas & Chemical Industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead Blending and Movement projects end to end from functional design to implementation and handling all dependencies and constraints.
• Create Design documents- FDS, DDS, test procedures and training manuals.
• Lead customer meetings including KOM, design workshops, training, and testing.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients to define project scope, milestones and deliverables.
• Track and manage progress as per schedule. Report progress to all stakeholders on regular basis.
• Manage customer expectations and ensure delivery within budget and timelines.
• Plan the engineering activities and ensure progress as per plan.
• Address customer issues on time by escalating to the right internal stakeholders
• Follow the Company defined standard practices and methods

QUALIFICATIONS

• 12-15 years’ experience in project engineering with specific exposure to Blending and Movement software or related systems for Refining, Terminals Oil and Gas & Chemical Industries.
• Excellent understanding and knowledge of the Refinery Tank Farm and Terminal operations.
• Hands-on experience with automation systems such as DCS, PLCs or SCADA. Including control logic development (Custom algorithm blocks, native function blocks), programming skills ( java , vb scripting).
• Understanding and implementation knowledge of HBM modules like Inventory Monitor, Movement Monitor, Movement Control, Blend Controller and Blend Optimizer.
• Experience in writing SQL queries & Basic Database management skills
• Working experience of integration with other systems using OPC, OLEDB, ODBC and web services.
• Knowledge of P&IDs, Loop drawings, control narratives and functional design specifications.
• Implementation experience in Aveva Tank Inventory System (TIS), Order and Movement Management (OMM), Movement Automation System (MAS), Blend Optimization and Supervisory System (BOSS), Digital Blender System (DBS), Yokogawa Blending Property Control (BPC), Movement Automation system
