Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking an SAP BASIS Consultant with 5-8 years of experience to join our team. You will work in 24x7 operations, collaborating with a global team to ensure SAP refreshes on HANA and S4HANA support. Strong provisioning, upgrade, and troubleshooting skills across SAP modules are essential.

The role requires Linux expertise, cloud knowledge, and scripting (Shell/Perl). Public cloud experience is a plus, along with SAP Solution Manager administration and monitoring capabilities.

Qualifications

• SAP Basis Consultant with 5-8 years' experience.
• Experience of working in 24x7 operations and should be a team player.
• Good experience of SAP Refresh on HANA DB.
• Need good experience on SAP S4HANA support.
• Expertise in SAP system provisioning.
• Expertise in SAP Add-on upgrade, Support package upgrade
• Good experience on handling issue related to BODS, Data Services and SLT.
• Knowledge of Cloud connectors.
• Expertise in Solution Manager basic configuration like managing SLD, LMDB, EWA, Managed system configuration and technical monitoring.
• Knowledge of SAP HA/DR and backup/restore technologies
• Experience in handling public and private cloud administration
• Expertise in System Monitoring, system performance, SAP software logistics, client copy, and ABAP system setup are a must
• Expert knowledge in Linux environment
• Understanding of cloud architecture is must
• Strong oral and written communication skills with a positive can-do & self-starter attitude.
• Experience with Public cloud is must. Certification will be an added advantage.
• Scripting knowledge (Shell, Perl) will be an added advantage
• Knowledge is other DevOps tools for automation will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide SAP BASIS support in 24x7 operations.
• Manage SAP system provisioning and upgrades.
• Perform SAP system refreshes on HANA DB and S4HANA environments.
• Oversee add-on and patch upgrades, SAP PA/DP packages.
• Handle BODS, Data Services, and SLT related issues.
• Monitor system health; ensure backups, HA/DR readiness.
• Configure SAP Solution Manager for monitoring and LMDB setups.
• Collaborate with cloud administrators for public/private cloud tasks.
