Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking an SAP BASIS Consultant with 5-8 years of experience to join a 24x7 operations team. You will work on SAP Refresh on HANA DB, S/4HANA support, system provisioning, and upgrade activities. Exposure to BODS, SLT, and cloud connectors is essential.

Strong Linux skills and cloud architecture understanding are required; scripting in Shell/Perl is a plus. The role demands collaboration with cross-functional teams and a proactive, self-starter attitude to maintain high system

Qualifications

• SAP BASIS Consultant with 5-8 years’ experience in SAP environments.
• Experience in 24x7 operations and teamwork.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Refresh on HANA DB and SAP S4HANA support.
• Proven ability in SAP system provisioning and upgrade activities.
• Experience with BODS, Data Services and SLT; knowledge of cloud connectors.
• Familiarity with Solution Manager configuration, monitoring and LMDB/SLD.
• Knowledge of SAP HA/DR, backup/restore technologies and cloud administration.
• Strong Linux skills; understanding of cloud architecture and public cloud.
• Excellent communication; scripting skills (Shell/Perl) are a plus; DevOps tools appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Provide SAP BASIS support in 24x7 operations and act as a team player.
• Handle SAP system provisioning, add-on upgrades, and support package upgrades.
• Manage SAP HANA DB refresh activities and S4HANA support tasks.
• Oversee data services topics (BODS/SLT) and cloud connectivity.
• Configure and monitor SAP Solution Manager components and technical monitoring.
• Ensure HA/DR readiness and run backup/restore processes; manage cloud administration.
• Maintain SAP system performance, client copies, and ABAP system setup basics.
• Operate in a Linux environment and contribute to cloud architecture discussions.
• Leverage scripting (Shell, Perl) and DevOps tools to automate tasks.

• Experience with Public cloud is must. Certification will be an added advantage.
