Sonata Software is seeking a seasoned Customer Engineer for SQL Server/Data Platform at multiple locations in India (Hyderabad/Bangalore/Chennai). The role focuses on design, optimization, and migration to Azure, with emphasis on performance, high availability, and disaster recovery.

Night and rotational shifts may apply, and prior consulting experience is a plus. The candidate should have deep expertise across SQL Server versions, on-prem and cloud deployments, and strong data warehousing

Formación

• 8-20 years experience in SQL Server/Data Platform architecture and administration.
• Strong focus on performance tuning, HA, and failover clustering.
• Migration and modernization to Azure experience preferred.
• Experience with on-prem and cloud SQL Server, including IaaS.
• Customer-facing Consulting or training delivery experience preferred.

Job Title: Customer Engineer for SQL Server/ Data Platform

Exp: 8-20 years
Location: Hyderabad/Bangalore/Chennai
Shifts: Night and rotational shifts

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SQL Server & Data Platform Solution Architect with expertise in SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Data Warehousing. For SQL Server, there should be a strong focus on Performance, High Availability, and Failover Clustering. An ideal candidate will play a key role in design, development and optimization of SQL Server Data Platform deployments as well as assisting in migration and modernization to Azure.

Skills/ Job expertise needed:

• Enterprise level support and administration focused specifically on: SQL performance and tuning optimization, Clustering, Always On Availability groups, High Availability, Core SQL +Migration, on-premises and cloud.
• SQL Server on IaaS experience on Azure/ Other public cloud required.
• All versions of SQL Server (2012 and onwards)
• Solving performance problems, query tuning, and optimization
• Architectural experience for Data Platform
• Architecting for High Availability and Disaster recovery solutions using FCI, Always On Availability groups
• Azure data factory, Azure SQLDB, Azure SQLDB Managed Instance, Azure Synapse knowledge is a plus.
• Delivering and/or authoring technical training
• SQL Server Integration Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services
• Power BI experience and knowledge are a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft certifications preferred.
• Previous Consulting and/or customer facing role.
