Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SQL development across SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Experience with query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on with ETL tools: SSIS, Informatica, Talend, or similar.
• Knowledge of cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good communication.

The SQL Developer is responsible for the design, development, optimization, and management of efficient database solutions. The role ensures the performance, integrity, and security of enterprise data systems while supporting business-critical applications and data initiatives. The incumbent will lead database development, performance tuning, and data management activities to support organizational growth and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
• Optimize database performance by analyzing execution plans and tuning queries
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for data integration and transformation
• Collaborate with application developers and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Ensure database integrity, consistency, and security through proper design and implementation
• Perform database troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning
• Create data models and maintain database schema documentation
• Monitor database performance metrics and implement improvements
• Integrate databases with applications using APIs and reporting tools, Support data warehousing and reporting initiatives

SKILLS:

• Experience with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) is a plus
• Experience with BI/reporting tools (SSRS)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in SQL development (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures, Experience with query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, Talend, or similar)
• Knowledge of database design principles and normalization techniques, Familiarity with data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schemas), Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Good communication and collaboration skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write emails, speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups and clients.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
