Job summary

Riktam Technology Consulting in Bengaluru seeks an experienced SQL Server/Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize MS SQL Server databases and ETL workflows. You will optimize T-SQL, review stored procedures, and ensure data integrity for scalable systems.

Candidates should have 8–12 years of hands-on SQL Server experience, SSIS, and Git/GitLab familiarity, with a strong analytical mindset and a Computer Science degree.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+).
• Strong expertise in T-SQL, stored procedures, views, query optimization, and execution plans.
• Experience in SQL Server database design and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with SSIS package development and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of Git/GitLab version control.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases and database objects.
• Write, review, and optimize complex T-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Design relational databases with a focus on performance, scalability, and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain ETL solutions using SSIS for SQL Server-based workflows.
• Support modern data engineering initiatives using Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Parquet, and Iceberg.
• Work with Git/GitLab and contribute to migration-based database deployments using Flyway.
• Collaborate with DBAs and application developers on database design, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in peer code reviews and maintain database deployment best practices.
• Assist with database performance tuning, issue resolution, and change management.
