Job summary

alliantgroup India Talent Pvt. Ltd in Hyderabad is seeking a motivated Junior SQL Server DBA / Data Engineer to manage and optimize SQL Server databases across on‑premises and cloud environments.

You will support end‑to‑end database administration, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and data pipeline development. The role requires hands‑on experience, collaboration with development teams, and ability to work independently while aligning with ISMS processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration on both on-premises and cloud databases.
• Experience in installation, configuration, upgrade, patching of SQL Server Instances, backup and recovery strategies to minimize downtime.
• Monitor database health, performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing tuning solutions.
• Expertise in T-SQL - writing, debugging and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, views and triggers.
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Database security - implementing and enforcing database security policies including authentication, authorization, roles and auditing.
• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Experience with designing and developing data flows using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services, ADF/Similar tools and Python).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with development teams.
• Coordination with ISMS core team to support ISMS activities and implantation strategies at the company.
