Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Chennai is seeking a software engineering professional to develop and maintain performance tools and drivers. You will analyze debugging outputs and work with Linux kernel and ARM-based systems to capture insights.

The role requires hands-on experience with C/C++, Python, and scripting, plus debugging tools like tcpdump and JTAG. Experience with Linux networking and kernel-level programming is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

• Run and analyze the various debugging tool output
• Ability and hands-on experience to use debug tools such as tcpdump
• Hands-on experience in using Linux Debug tools such as perf/Memory debug configs
• Perl/Python & Bash shell scripting
• Strong experience in C

• Linux kernel & system programming (good to have)
• ARMv7 and ARMv8 (good to have)
• ARM Coresight (good to have)
