Tata Consultancy Services in Hyderabad is seeking a Splunk Observability Engineer with 5–10 years of hands-on experience to design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise monitoring solutions across Linux, Windows, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

The role requires expertise in Splunk Observability Suite, OpenTelemetry collectors, cloud monitoring on AWS/Azure, and CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, Git, and GitHub.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in observability or monitoring.
• Hands-on with Splunk Observability Suite for enterprise solutions.
• Deploy, upgrade and maintain OpenTelemetry Collectors across Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Deep knowledge of distributed tracing, telemetry collection, metrics and log correlation.
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift administration and cloud monitoring (AWS/Azure).
• Experience managing Splunk APM agents and deployment automation.
• Proficiency in Linux/Windows server administration and CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub).
• Strong troubleshooting across hybrid environments and ITSM tools.

Role: Splunk Observability Engineer

Location: Hyderabad/Bangalore/Pune

Experience Range: 5 to 10 Years

Job Description:

• Strong hands-on experience with the Splunk Observability Suite, including APM, Infrastructure Monitoring (IM), Real User Monitoring (RUM), Synthetic Monitoring, Dashboards, Detectors, and SignalFlow, with the ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Proven experience in deploying, upgrading, and maintaining OpenTelemetry Collectors across Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, and OpenShift environments while ensuring telemetry continuity and minimal business impact.
• Deep understanding of distributed tracing, application instrumentation, telemetry collection, metrics, traces, and log correlation using OpenTelemetry and Splunk APM.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift administration, including deployment, troubleshooting, upgrades, monitoring, and management of containerized workloads.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including monitoring cloud-native services and integrating cloud metrics into Splunk Observability.
• Experience managing Splunk APM agents, security updates, version upgrades, packaging, deployment automation, and Always-On Profiling implementations across multiple environments.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration, including system troubleshooting, performance analysis, process monitoring, certificate management, and network connectivity validation.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, and GitHub for code versioning, deployment automation, and infrastructure change management.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose observability gaps, telemetry collection failures, application performance issues, and infrastructure monitoring problems across hybrid environments.
• Experience working with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Helix, or similar platforms for incident, change, problem, and release management activities.
