Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Architect to own end-to-end solution architecture for SPFx and Power Platform engagements. You will decide between SPFx, Power Platform, or out-of-the-box approaches and select the data layer (Dataverse or SharePoint) based on requirements.

Define authentication and security architecture, establish development standards, and provide governance across teams. You will advise on modernization roadmaps and support proposals with credible designs for clients.

Qualifications

• Must have architecture-level command of SharePoint Online, SPFx, and the M365 platform.
• Strong Power Platform expertise across Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for SPFx and Power Platform engagements.
• Make key technical decisions: SPFx versus Power Platform versus out-of-the-box, canvas versus model-driven, Dataverse versus SharePoint as the data layer.
• Define authentication and security architecture, including Entra ID app registrations, permission scoping, least-privilege consent, and API access patterns via Microsoft Graph.
• Establish and maintain development standards, ALM strategy, environment/tenant governance, and reusable components across teams.
• Provide architectural governance and design review for the work that Leads and developers deliver.
• Advise clients and internal stakeholders on modernization roadmaps, platform capabilities, and effort/complexity trade-offs, and support proposals and SOWs with credible solution designs.
• Anticipate risks around performance, licensing, tenant limits, and long-term supportability, and design around them.

• Define authentication and security architecture, including Entra ID app registrations, permission scoping, least-privilege consent, and API access patterns via Microsoft Graph.
