Job summary

Citi is seeking a Specialized Analytics Manager to lead AI/ML initiatives in the deposits space, guiding a team and ensuring end-to-end delivery of AI solutions. The role involves working with large, complex datasets to inform business strategies, documenting data requirements, and performing exploratory data analysis using statistical models and visualization techniques.

The incumbent will collaborate with stakeholders across marketing, risk, digital, and AML domains, while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of experience in analytics or data science.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and deep learning; hands-on in past roles.
• Gen AI and Agentic AI exposure; hands-on experience in prior roles.
• Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Problem solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in data quality, data analytics, and data management within financial services.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job description

The Specialized Analytics Manager provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility. Provides operational/service leadership and direction to team(s). Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Generally has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning and budgets. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Full supervisory responsibility, ensuring motivation and development of team through professional leadership to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations as well as direction of daily tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for documenting data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, and exploratory data analysis; which may include utilizing statistical models / algorithms and data visualization techniques
• Incumbents in this role may often be referred to as Data Scientists
• Specialization in marketing, risk, digital and AML fields possible
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

• 7-12 years of experience
• Strong understanding of traditional AI-ML concepts, deep learning knowledge and must have implemented these solutions in their past role
• Should have good exposure to Gen AI and Agentic AI concepts and should have been hands‑on for the same in previous roles
• Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences required
• Problem solving, root cause analysis skills required
• Ability to focus on multiple priorities and drive solutions in a fast paced working environment
• Relevant work experience in data quality, data analytics, data management within the financial services industry required
• Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving skills

Education:

• Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
