Job summary

AT&T is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer in Bangalore to execute CI/CD pipelines, deploy platform services, and enable self-service operations through Web UIs and APIs. You will leverage Azure and related tools to deliver consistent deployments while embedding observability and reliability into automation for proactive operations.

The role requires collaboration with platform engineering, security, and operations teams to prioritize issues and drive resolution, with daily coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Experience managing cloud platforms via Pipeline automation.
• Programming & Scripting: Python, PowerShell and AI experience regarding automation and tooling.
• Azure Cloud: Hands-on experience deploying and operating services on cloud environments such as Azure.
• Operations at Scale: Operating platforms as large scale, including initial deployments and ongoing upgrades.
• API Use: Strong skill set and ease of use of secure APIs for operational workflows.
• RBAC, policy enforcement, and Azure Key Vault for secrets management.
• Fundamental Networking experience to support integration of a Network fabric to compute infrastructure.
• Familiarity with containers/Kubernetes and how automation integrates with platform services.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute CI/CD pipelines that deliver platform services, configurations, and automation safely and repeatably on scale.
• Put into use various Web UI's and API's that enable self-service operations and event-driven workflows for platform management.
• Use Azure and other Cloud tools toensure consistent deployments.
• Embed observability and reliability into automation (logging, metrics, pre/post-checks), enabling proactive operations.
• Utilize reusable tools/CLIs, Azure workbooks and pipelines to facilitate platform instances are operating optimally and use to trouble shoot our internal labs used for validation, in conjunction with supporting our operations teams as well when issues arise.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with platform engineering, security, and operations to prioritize key issues and facilitate addressing issues.

Job Qualifications / Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Experience managing cloud platforms via Pipeline automation
• Programming & Scripting: Python, PowerShelland AI experience regarding automation and tooling.
• Azure Cloud: Hands-on experience deploying and operating services on cloud environments such as Azure.
• Operations at Scale: Operating platforms as large scale, including initial deployments and ongoing upgrades.
• API Use: Strong skill set and ease of use of secure APIs for operational workflows.
• Operational experience with RBAC, policy enforcement, and Azure Key Vault for secrets management.
• Fundamental Networking experience, to support the integration of a Network fabric to a compute infrastructure.
• Familiarity with containers/Kubernetes and how automation integrates with platform services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD pipelines using YAML-based automation for infrastructure, platform services, and operational tooling.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools such as Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform to support consistent and repeatable cloud deployments.
• Experience with observability and operational monitoring tools, including logging, metrics, dashboards, and health checks, preferably using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or Azure Workbooks.
• Working knowledge of developing or integrating self-service Web UIs, APIs, and event-driven workflows to improve platform operations and reduce manual effort.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across platform engineering, security, and operations teams in a fast-paced cloud or infrastructure environment.

Additional Job Information

This is an offshore role that requires daily collaboration with U.S. stakeholders, including overlapping work hours to ensure effective partnership and meet business needs.
