Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design and delivery across civil/structural projects in a hybrid work setup in India. You will collaborate with commercial, project management, engineering and design teams to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects.

The role requires deep knowledge of RCC buildings, steel structures, foundations and expertise in client-facing discussions, with a focus on high-quality outputs and zero-defect delivery.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering, with 2+ years of structural design experience required.
• Masters degree in Structure is preferred.
• Experience on Industrial, Pharmaceutical CGMP & FMCG, and Semiconductor projects is desirable.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural design leadership across projects.
• Coordinate with disciplines to finalize unit plans and layouts.
• Engage in client discussions and solution development on site issues.

In this role you will be responsible for project delivery, design management & project management, for positioning and winning projects involving a range of services. The role will be instrumental in collaborating with commercial, project management, engineering and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects.

Job Summary

SME – Structure is generally assigned to different projects as a someone who is Responsible for providing Solution in the Concrete / Steel / Foundation Queries. Having knowledge of designs, proposals, business development in meeting clients/vendor, execution of tasks assigned by Discipline Head. He/She should suffice in a technique which requires a grasp either of involved practices and precedents or of scientific theory and principles or both .

Technical and Development

• 4 years Full time Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Masters Degree in Structure is preferred.
• Train the team on different technical subjects
• Solution for the Queries regarding Concrete / Steel and Foundation issues
• Technical skills on RCC Buildings, Waffle Slabs, Cheese Slabs, Steel structures, Long Span Truss, Pile Foundations etc
• Involve in Client Discussions / Solutions for the In-Site Issues
• Understanding of Soil and Foundations. Provide measures to take care of site soil issues
• Assist in the development and finalization of Unit Plans and Building Layouts as in coordination with other disciplines

Here’s what you’ll need

BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 25 years of experience in handling Structural Design activities. Experience in Industrial, Pharmaceutical CGMP & FMCG Projects & Semiconductor Projects.
