Job summary

Jacobs in Gurgaon, India seeks a Subject Matter Expert in Fill & Finish with 15+ years in chemical/process engineering. You will lead PFDs, P&IDs, capacity mapping, and equipment selection for F&F plants, adhering to ISPE guidelines and regulatory standards. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration are required.

You will drive design reviews, CIP/SIP, containment studies, GMP compliance, and risk assessments while mentoring project teams on major peptide and biotech facilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering from a reputed institute.
• 15+ years of experience in F&F projects and process engineering.
• Experience in preparing PFDs and P&IDs, and layout design for F&F plants.
• Knowledge of ISPE guidelines and regulatory requirements (USFDA/MHRA/WHO/TGA).
• Strong communication and leadership abilities for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out process engineering calculations including heat/mass balance and utility sizing.
• Lead design reviews, HAZOP/PHA sessions and ensure GMP compliance.
• Provide guidance on containment, waste handling, and plant equipment selection.
• Review vendor documents and ensure design-construction alignment for safety.

Subject Matter Expert in F&F (Fill & Finish)

Candidate should possess following as a minimum:

• Strong Technical Skills in carrying out basic and detailed engineering work.
• The candidate should be experienced in handling F&F projects.
• Should be able to prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Should have strong knowledge on layout designing of F&F plants.
• Should be able to independently carry out Capacity Mapping of F&F Plants.
• The candidate should possess sound knowledge on equipment selection criteria for F&F Products from lab scale to commercial scale production.
• Should have knowledge on latest ISPE Guidelines.
• Should be aware of regulatory requirements of USFDA, MHRA, WHO, TGA etc.

Qualification

• Degree in Chemical Engineering from a reputed institute.
• More than 15 Years of experience.

Technical and specialty skills Technical and Development

• Performing All process engineering calculations like heat & mass balance, Utility sizing (Clean & Black), Thermal rating of heat exchangers and hydraulics, line sizing, Pump Hydraulics.
• Vendor Document Review.
• CIP & SIP System Design.
• Reviewing all aspects of design and construction for consistency and safety, including leading HAZOP and PHA Reviews.
• Possess thorough knowledge on containment techniques and be able to perform Containment Studies.
• Provide guidance in GMP reviews.
• Waste Handling from F&F plants.
• Raw Material Handling & Storage.
