Job summary

Orion Pharma seeks a Specialist – Solution Expert Laboratory System to join its IT and Laboratory IT Services in Mumbai. The role focuses on configuring, enhancing, and maintaining the LIMS platform, with strong engagement in problem solving and verification activities to sustain compliance.

You will contribute as a subject matter expert in solution design, implementation and upgrade projects, while ensuring solutions align with laboratory processes and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting, maintaining and developing LabVantage LIMS in a GxP-regulated environment.
• Experience with LabVantage LIMS master data management.
• Technical IT knowledge of databases, servers, networks, AD, SSO, DNS, firewalls and API integrations.
• Ability to translate business needs into practical system enhancements.
• Ability to manage solution architecture and maintain the validated state of GxP-regulated applications.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the configuration, enhancement and lifecycle of the LIMS platform

Providing 2nd level application support and utilizing 3rd level support

Problem solving of various technical issues related to different phases of systems lifecycle

Appropriate technical and user testing and documentation to comply with the industry regulations

Acting as a subject matter specialist in solution design, implementation and upgrade projects

Understanding Laboratory systems and processes to match the demand with an optimal solution and/or configuration

Description of unit:

The Business Solutions OT team is a team of Service Managers, Solution Specialists, IT Specialists and Solution Architect specialized to support and develop the IT systems in laboratories and production.

5+ years of experience supporting, maintaining and developing LabVantage LIMS in a GxP-regulated environment

Experience with LabVantage LIMS master data management

Technical IT knowledge of databases, servers, networks, AD, SSO, DNS, firewalls and API integrations

Ability to understand business needs and translate them into practical system enhancements or solutions

Ability to manage solution architecture and perform periodic activities required to maintain the validated state of GxP-regulated applications

Strong ownership, problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills, with fluent written and spoken English

Considered as an advantage:

Experience in other Laboratory systems (e.g. CDS, ELN, LES)

Experience of managing applications in regulated life sciences / pharmaceutical industry

Education

Any IT graduate or equivalent. Preferred major would be Information Technology, Computer Science, or other engineering or equivalent technical degree or course with LabVantage experience.
