Job summary

Nasdaq Technology is seeking a Specialist - Software Engineering to join the Bangalore technology center in India. You will design, build, and maintain scalable software for Nasdaq’s market platforms, collaborating across teams in Bangalore and globally.

The role requires 5–8 years of software engineering experience, proficiency in Java, Python, or C++, and familiarity with RESTful APIs, databases, CI/CD, and Git. Cloud and containerization experience are a plus.

Role Responsibilities

As a Specialist - Software Engineering , your focus will be developing and implementing software solutions. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore , you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications for Nasdaq’s market platform.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks.

• Support integration of platform components with internal and external systems.

We expect you to have:

• Experience Level: 5 to 8 years of software engineering experience.
• Primary Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++) ; experience with RESTful API design; knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines; experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communication and teamwork in a team environment.
• Education Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Computer Science.

It would be phenomenal if you have:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with financial markets or trading platforms.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
