Job summary

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre in Bengaluru, India seeks a senior Java/Big Data engineer to deliver technical solutions across design, development and release cycles. You will work with Spark-based data lake technologies and modern distributed stacks while contributing to TDD/BDD and CI/CD practices.

You will also mentor the team, plan and prioritize work, and collaborate in an Agile environment with a strong emphasis on cloud (Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka and REST services.

Qualifications

• 4+ Years of experience in relevant roles.
• Must have good experience in Java stack (Core Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate , JPA)
• Must have good experience on data lake technologies [Spark, bigdata]
• Knowledge on Docker and Kubernetes, distributed messaging system like Kafka
• Must have experience working with cloud technologies preferably Azure.
• Must have good experience working on Rest services.
• Expertise with SQL and exposure to PostgreSQL
• Experience in test driven development (unit testing, Mocking, BDD)
• Strong knowledge in OOA (Object Oriented Analysis) & OOD (Object Oriented Design), J2EE Design Patterns
• Good to have exposure working with UNIX.
• Preferable to have prior experience leading and guiding the team on technical topics
• Preferable to have experience in Investment banking domain.
• Good Knowledge on CI/CD practices and related tools like git, Jenkins
• Strong experience in Agile methodologies
