Job summary

Societe Generale SA in India seeks a senior data engineering/BI specialist to drive dashboarding and reporting for risk management projects. You will design, implement, and maintain SSRS/SSAS/SSIS solutions using Azure Databricks and Power BI, collaborating with Paris teams.

The role requires strong coding skills, exposure to database systems (MS SQL Server), and an Agile mindset to ensure quality, automation, and timely delivery across development and production environments.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in data engineering and BI development.
• Strong skills in SSRS, SSAS, Databricks, and MS SQL Server.
• Experience with Power BI services and Azure data services.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
• Banking domain knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a technical developer, you’ll be involved on one or more projects concerning Dashboarding and reporting in the area of risk management.

In coordination with Paris teams, you’ll take part in:

• Developer for the technical design, programming, implementation, documentation, and maintenance with SSRS, SSAS (with SSAS Tabular KNowledge), SSIS, power BI services, data engineering, Azure/Databricks experience is must.
• Participate in implementation, including maintenance, user allocation, file design, coding, error removal, logic optimization, systems re-evaluation, testing, final corrections, and program and run time documentation.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues. Trace data/logic and report back on root cause.
• Synchronize development/production environments.
• Guarantee best practice and quality of the code of the whole team.
• Organize and optimize/industrialize the process of development.
• Propose technical solutions.
• Participate to the construction of the technical infrastructure when needed.
• Ensures a technological watch and demonstrates an interest for the Compliance business
• Should have basic understanding of Agile Methodology

Strong Skills

• Should be strong in Visualization tools Azure/Databricks,Data engineering, POWER-BI services and MS-BI
• Should have strong coding skills in SSRS, SSAS, Databricks (with SSAS Tabular KNowledge), Should be strong in Database (MS SQL Server)
• Control-M scheduling tool, GitHub Versioning tool, nd basic DBA concepts.
• Banking Domain knowledge, AGILE
