Acentra Health is seeking a Specialist in Bengaluru/Chennai hybrid to strengthen its software quality engineering team. You will contribute to test planning, design, and execution, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across products.

The role emphasizes collaboration with business analysts, developers, and infrastructure teams, building robust test data, automating tests, and driving high-quality releases through disciplined defect management and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree required.
• 4–6 years of relevant testing/QA experience.
• Hands-on with test automation tools (Selenium, Katalon, UFT).
• Experience with Oracle DB and SQL.
• Jira for defect tracking and traceability.
• Nonfunctional testing experience desirable (performance, API).
• Strong English communication skills.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Job Title: Specialist

Location: Hybrid-Bengaluru/Chennai

About the Job:

The Quality Engineer works under the direct supervision of the Lead, is technically strong, and can support testing with minimum or no support from the Lead.

What you will do:

• You will be part of a team of SQA engineers in India to help achieve the quality of test deliverables for Acentra health products.
• You will work closely with the SQA leads to define & implement an effective Test Strategy.
• You will create detailed test cases, review test cases, Test data and execute the Test Cases and file and handle defects as per the organization’s defect life cycle.
• You may need to interact with Business analysis, Development engineers & Infrastructure teams, to perform your role effectively.

Who you are:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree.

• 4– 6 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills:

• You have 4-6 years of experience in software Test engineering/Quality engineering with very good hands-on experience in understanding Requirements deeply & developing /executing test cases that ensure optimal coverage.
• You have worked on implementing Test automation on one or more of the tools like Selenium, Katalon, UFT or similar, in the past.
• You have worked on databases like Oracle and have good knowledge of SQL.
• You have used Jira or similar tools to track defects & ensure Test traceability.
• Any experience in Nonfunctional testing like Performance /API testing is desirable but not mandatory.
• You can communicate well within the team and outside of it as part of your role.

Soft Skills:

• English Language proficiency is required to effectively communicate in a professional environment.

• Excellent communication skills are a must.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a creative mindset to bring fresh ideas to the table.
