Qualifications

• Experience with state-specific forms, rating, underwriting business rules, PCF changes and integrations.

About the Role

We are seeking a Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer / Tech Lead with 5–8 years of experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation, configuration, integration, and production support. The role combines hands‑on development with technical leadership, onsite‑offshore coordination, and guidance for junior Guidewire developers.

Job Description

The role focuses on implementing and supporting Guidewire PolicyCenter, including state‑specific configurations, rating, business rules, PCF changes, forms, and integrations. You will assess technical feasibility against client requirements and coordinate with offshore teams to ensure quality deliverables.

The position also involves reviewing offshore development work, supporting production incidents, analyzing defects, coordinating with integration owners and service providers, and communicating delivery status to onsite management. A significant portion of the role will involve hands‑on development activities for releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and support Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions, including state rollouts.
• Develop configuration and integration features based on business requirements.
• Perform hands‑on development across rating, PCF configuration, business rules, forms, and data models.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior Guidewire developers.
• Review offshore development work and ensure adherence to technical and quality standards.
• Coordinate onsite‑offshore teams to understand requirements, assess feasibility, and deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, coordinate defect analysis, and provide technical support.
• Coordinate with third‑party service providers and integration owners to maintain application availability.

Required Skills

• Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation and support experience.
• Guidewire PolicyCenter certification at Associate or ACE level.
• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter modules.
• Guidewire Configuration and/or Integration experience.
• At least one complete end‑to‑end Guidewire Cloud implementation.
• Experience with state‑specific forms, rating, underwriting business rules, PCF changes, and integrations.
• Guidewire Gosu proprietary code development.
• Guidewire APIs, methods, rules, and processes.
• SQL Server or Oracle database experience.
• Third‑party platform and application integration.
• Application servers such as WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, or JBoss/J2EE containers.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
