Job summary

Udhyam Learning Foundation in India seeks a seasoned Programs Lead to coordinate government partnerships and drive district-wide initiatives in education.

You will plan, execute, monitor MIS data, report to stakeholders, and ensure timely completion of tasks across districts.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience with government stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with government officials, partner organisations, resource persons, district officials, school principals and teachers.
• Program Planning & Execution: Define goals and implementation strategies, prepare and execute project plans, oversee all stages of implementation, review progress, and take corrective actions.
• Data Management & Analysis: Maintain MIS data, document field visit reports, conduct basic data analysis, and support decision-making.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for internal and government reviews.
• Training & Event Coordination: Support planning and execution of trainings, orientations, review meetings and district/state events.
• District & School Progress: Track district- and school-wise progress, identify gaps, and support improvement plans.
• Task Ownership & Follow-up: Take ownership of tasks and ensure timely completion and closure.
• Field Visits: Conduct visits to observe implementation and provide necessary support.
• Organisational Alignment: Promote Udhyam's mission and policies with stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with government officials, partner organisations, resource persons, district officials, school principals and teachers. Serve as the lead site coordinator for the program.
2. Program Planning & Execution: Support program planning, define goals and implementation strategies, prepare and execute project plans, oversee all stages of implementation, regularly review progress, and take corrective actions to ensure quality, consistency and timely completion.
3. Data Management & Analysis: Maintain accurate MIS data, document field visit reports, implementation challenges and insights, conduct basic data analysis, and use data to support decision-making.
4. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare reports, presentations, success stories and regular program updates for internal and government reviews.
5. Training & Event Coordination: Support planning and execution of trainings, orientations, review meetings and district & state-level events.
6. District & School Progress: Track district- and school-wise progress, identify implementation gaps, and support improvement plans for priority schools.
7. Task Ownership & Follow-up: Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, proactively follow up with relevant stakeholders, and ensure timely completion and closure of tasks.
8. Field Visits: Conduct field visits as required to observe implementation, understand challenges and provide necessary support.
9. Organisational Alignment: Promote Udhyam's mission, values and organisational policies while working with all stakeholders.

Skills, Experience, and Mindsets:

1. Based in or willing to relocate to Bhopal.
2. 5-7 years of experience working with government stakeholders, preferably in the education sector.
3. Strong hands-on experience in program operations, with the ability to experiment, pilot new approaches and deliver results with limited resources.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hindi and English.
5. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, government stakeholders, partners and other external stakeholders.
6. Strong ownership, grit and bias for action, with the ability to take initiative and drive tasks to completion.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability and willingness to learn and continuously improve.
