Roles and Responsibilities
  • Implement Nutraceuticals Raw & Packaging materials strategies to ensure direct alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for volume consolidation within Nutraceuticals Raw & Packaging materials, optimizing procurement efficiency.
  • Challenge and review specifications within the Nutraceuticals Raw & Packaging materials, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Actively engage with the supplier base to source innovative ideas and solutions, fostering a collaborative environment for continuous improvement.
  • Support stage gating for supplier-led innovations, ensuring a structured approach to assess and implement innovative solutions while managing associated risks.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to assess Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices and improve % ESG compliant suppliers, ensuring alignment with DRL's sustainability goals.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain (supply, quality, safety), proactively addressing issues related to category procurement and ensuring continuity of supply.
  • Lead negotiations as part of the sourcing process. Oversee supplier selection and manage contract signing, execution, and associated risk management.
  • Leverage India and Global Market inputs to develop should cost and provide competitive advantage to the business.
  • Support AVD activities through vendor scouting, vendor review, testing etc.
  • Proactively communicate and engage with stakeholders (like R&D leads, Business leads, Planning/Manufacturing, Finance) to gather insights, align priorities, and address potential challenges in the Global market.
Educational Qualification and Work Experience
  • Pharma/Science Graduate with 3-6 years of experience in a Nutraceutical industry handling Sourcing & procurement.
  • Sound understanding of Supply Chain operations, Procurement strategies, systems & processes.
  • Good understanding of the regulated Nutraceuticals Raw & Packaging materials ,Market requirements, vendors base.
  • Good understanding of Operations in pharmaceutical industry, Generics business, Regulatory framework.
  • Sound understanding of recent trends & Nutraceuticals Raw & Packaging materials Market intelligence, business dynamics.
Behavioural Skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Nutraceutical strategies.
  • Ability to lead negotiations for optimal outcomes in line with Nutraceuticals Raw & Packaging materials strategy.
  • Ability to network and build robust supplier relationships.
  • Ability to connect the dots and take decisions.
  • Ability to proactively engage with stakeholders to gather insights and align priorities effectively.
