Allianz Group is seeking a Linux System Engineer to maintain, develop and optimize Linux-RedHat environments, automate with Ansible and related tools, and enhance security through vulnerability management.

You will work with IT teams and stakeholders, participate in on-call rotations and contribute to documentation, DR planning and audits while aligning with Allianz change and patch processes.

Competenze

• Completed IT education/degree as a System or Platform Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of Linux RedHat Enterprise OS and automation.
• Experience with ITIL processes, security frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration.

What you do

• Co-managing the Linux environment: ensuring operation, maintenance, development and monitoring (including monthly on-call duty).
• Operating and developing platforms (Linux-RedHat, automation with Satellite, Puppet, Ansible and certain applications).
• Analyzing and optimizing systems for performance, security, and availability.
• Participating in change, problem, and incident management.
• Plan and document changes ITIL Framework, ensuring all necessary details are captured.
• Plan and execute DR tests based on customer requirements and improve the DR capability aligned with the new license bundle.
• Work closely with IT teams, project managers and business stakeholders to align AIX infrastructure requirements with business goals.
• Technical alignment with depending on services like network, backup and storage colleagues to ensure compatibility and smooth operation.
• Planning and executing changes, fulfilling customer orders, and creating/updating system and operational documentation.
• Generate reports on system performance, capacity planning and resource utilization and provide evidence for different internal and external audits.

What you bring

• Completed IT education/degree as a System or Platform Engineer
• Strong interest and proficiency in Linux RedHat Enterprise OS
• Strong Knowledge of automation, Ansible, Openshift container and cloud technologies
• Base understanding of Hitachi storage and VMware virtualization technology.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, or similar.
• Ability to understand, systematize, document, and explain complex system dependencies
• Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues during backup operations.
• Tools Proficiency: Good experience in ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, PowerBI and office products.
• Security Standards and Practices: Solid grasp of ISO 27001, NIST, and GISF security frameworks.
• Network and System Security: Expertise in network protocols, firewall management, and encryption techniques.
• Lifecycle Management: Skilled in managing IT asset lifecycle and EOL/EOS components.
• Change and Patch Management: Deep knowledge of Allianz Change- and Patch-Management Processes.
• Collaboration: Effective collaboration with international teams and stakeholders.
• Communication Skills (English): Clear and concise technical communication in English.
• Cultural Awareness: Ability to work in a diverse and multicultural environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed for backup activities.
• RedHat certification or equivalent is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience
• Basic AI knowledge is mandatory
