Job summary

Lennox is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst in Chennai to lead complex accounting and financial reporting activities. The role covers month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and in-depth analysis of expenditures to drive business performance.

You will work with SAP and Hyperion, develop financial models, and provide analytical support to management while mentoring less-experienced analysts. A strong accounting background is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5 years related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel & Access).
• Knowledge of SAP/Hyperion preferred; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate financial statements and month-end close consolidation.
• Provide budgeting and planning analyses to support management understanding of financial data.
• Maintain accuracy of the internal financial database.
• Analyze SAP reporting and sales/margin reports; investigate discrepancies.
• Support capital expenditure analysis and cost variation; respond to ad-hoc questions.
• Develop financial models and analytical tools to improve business processes.
• Coach junior analysts as needed.

Job Description

This analyst is responsible for the most complex accounting, financial reporting, planning and analysis of an organizations expenditures and initiatives.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Generate financial statements and perform financial consolidation for month-end close.
• Provide analysis in financial budgeting and planning, and support management to enhance understanding of financial data and performance.
• Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the company’s internal financial database.
• Analyze trends, identify discrepancies, investigate and resolve issues related to SAP reporting and perform analysis on sales and margin reports.
• Provide analytical support in capital expenditure, margin and cost variation, and respond to ad-hoc questions from management and internal departments.
• Support the development of financial models and other analytical tools to enhance the efficiency of business applications and processes.
• Coach less-experienced financial analysts as needed.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 5 years related experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access. Knowledge of enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion) preferred. Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
