Job summary

Concentrix, a technology-enabled global business services company, seeks a Specialist - Bank Reconciliation to join our Finance & Accounting team in Chennai. The role covers high-volume bank reconciliations, discrepancy resolution, and ensuring cash transaction accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 4–5 years of reconciliation experience, with strong Excel skills and ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 4–5 years of Bank/Cash Reconciliation or General Accounting experience.
• Experience handling high-volume transactions across multiple bank accounts.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, cash management, and controls.
• Solid knowledge of General Ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, PeopleSoft).
• Familiarity with reconciliation platforms (BlackLine, Trintech, ReconNET).
• Experience supporting month-end close and audits.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly reconciliations of high-volume bank accounts.
• Reconcile bank statements with GL balances and supporting records.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items and discrepancies.
• Load daily bank statements and POS data into reconciliation systems.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts, deposits, payments, wire transfers, bank charges.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documents for adjustments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and banking partners to resolve variances.
• Prepare reconciliation reports and assist audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation processes and efficiency.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Specialist - Bank Reconciliation - to join our Finance & Accounting team. The role involves performing high-volume bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items, and ensuring the accuracy of cash transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting, excellent analytical skills, and experience working with large transaction volumes in a fast-paced environment.

Role And Key Responsibilities

• Perform monthly reconciliations of high-volume bank accounts and ensure timely completion.
• Reconcile bank statements with General Ledger (GL) balances and supporting records.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve outstanding reconciling items and discrepancies.
• Load daily bank statement and Point-of-Sale (POS) data into reconciliation systems.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts, deposits, electronic payments, wire transfers, and bank charges.
• Prepare journal entries and support documentation for reconciliation adjustments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and banking partners to resolve variances.
• Prepare reconciliation reports and support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, controls, and financial procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation processes and efficiency.

Key Skills And Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in Bank Reconciliation, Cash Reconciliation, or General Accounting.
• Experience managing high-volume transactions and multiple bank accounts.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, cash management, and financial controls.
• Solid knowledge of accounting concepts, General Ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis functions. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or PeopleSoft.
• Experience with bank reconciliation tools/software preferred.
• Experience in retail, banking, shared services, or other high-volume transaction environments.
• Exposure to reconciliation platforms such as BlackLine, Trintech, or ReconNET.
• Experience supporting month-end close and audit activities.
