Job summary

Hubbell is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Data Science and Governance to build models and ML solutions that drive actionable results for Operations and Supply Chain.

The role focuses on improving data quality, enabling SAP data integrity, and delivering tools for business partners across a global matrixed organization. The candidate will engage with partners to implement scalable data governance, model interfaces with Power BI, and develop training resources to empower end users.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building data science models and machine learning.
• 1+ years working with Materials/Supply chain processes and/or master data, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with SAP data sources.

Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a data scientist with proven experience in building models and machine learning to deliver actionable results that add value to the organization. The preferred candidate will have a degree and have Materials/Supply Chain data experience. The Sr. Specialist, Data Science and Governance, will focus on developing tools to improve data and processes for Hubbell. They will engage with business partners to facilitate driving optimal tools and clean SAP data.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Use various advanced data science modeling tools to build resources to improve Operations and Supply Chain master data.
• Develop strategic tools and execute projects to drive value for the organization.
• Develop and maintain strong global relationships in a matrixed environment across segments and functional levels.
• Lead Master Data initiatives across Hubbell's SAP sites to maintain data integrity.
• Coordinate with Reporting and Analytics Team to ensure models interface with PBI correctly and have all the necessary elements that are needed by the end users.
• Develop training resources to support the tools being developed.
• Strong appreciation for data integrity and clear process disciplines.
• Proven ability to manage tight deadlines, priorities workload, and achieve results.

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years building data science models and machine learning.
• 1+ years of working with Materials/Supply chain processes and/or master data, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with SAP data sources

Technical Competencies

• Proficiency with R/Python, SQL languages
• Understanding of data modeling and optimization techniques and best practices
• MS Office, SAP Hanna, and Power BI (DAX) helpful
