Job summary

Alexander Mann Solutions (AMS) is seeking a Specialist - Business Intelligence to develop scalable BI solutions using Power BI, SQL, Power Query, and advanced Excel. You will create impactful dashboards, automate reporting, and deliver actionable insights that enable data-driven decisions while partnering closely with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Power BI design, DAX, data modeling and governance.
• Strong SQL skills for data retrieval and transforms.
• Advanced Excel for reporting, analytics and automation.
• Experience with Python (Pandas) and Azure data services.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and translate requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Power BI solution development ensuring performance and governance.
• Design and optimize data models, DAX calculations, reporting frameworks.
• Build interactive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and AI insights for stakeholders.
• Manage dataset optimization, incremental refresh, and Power BI service admin.
• Collaborate with data engineering on ETL/ELT pipelines across Azure/cloud platforms.
• Automate reporting and deliver actionable insights for business decisions.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable BI solutions.

Key Accountabilities

Work Mode: 3 days WFO, KP Pune | Shift: 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM IST (EMEA)

• Lead end-to-end Power BI solution development, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and governance.
• Design and optimize data models, DAX calculations, and reporting frameworks.
• Build interactive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and AI-driven insights for business stakeholders.
• Manage dataset optimization, incremental refresh, and Power BI Service administration.
• Partner with data engineering teams on ETL/ELT pipelines across Azure and cloud data platforms.
• Automate reporting and deliver actionable insights to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions.

Skills & Requirements

Experience & Technical Expertise

Mandatory Skills

• Expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, incremental refresh, Power BI Service).
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Advanced Power Query skills for data transformation and automation.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, reporting, and data analysis.
• Experience with Python (Pandas and analytics libraries).
• Exposure to Azure technologies such as Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks.
• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
