Job summary

NiCE in Pune is seeking an accomplished AML analytics SME to join the Actimise Watch Group. You will analyze data, identify suspicious patterns, tune transaction monitoring, and deliver actionable AML insights for Actimise customers.

The role requires 8+ years in financial services, a finance/IT degree, and AML/financial crime certifications such as CAMS or CFE are a plus. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Actimise solutions is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in financial services, financial crime prevention or transaction monitoring.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Information Technology or related field; CAMS/CFE are plus.
• Experience with Actimise solutions such as SAM, WLF, ACTONE is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on AML services/strategies for newly onboarded Actimise Customers.
• Provide ongoing AML consultation using Actimise solutions, ML models, and feature recommendations.
• Collect and analyze financial data for potential AML cases and initial triage of missed alerts.
• Perform tuning on transaction monitoring systems to reduce false positives and improve alert quality.
• Prepare AML analytics reports and presentations on trends and insights for Actimise clients.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather insights and manage expectations.
• Initiate and lead strategic AML initiatives.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements for data science and ML.
• Coach and mentor peers on analytic best practices.

So, what’s the role all about?

As a SME in the Actimise Watch Group, they will play a crucial role in analyzing data, identifying suspicious patterns, performing tuning for transaction monitoring systems, providing recommendations on segmentation and predictive scoring to Actimise customers. They should have in depth knowledge about various financial payment systems, FATF and AML /FINCEN laws. They should also have experience using Actimise AML products. Knowledge or experience working as a AML analyst or investigator is a plus. They should have strong presentation, problem solving and communication skills. They should also be able to work well alone and as part of a team.

How will you make an impact?

• Provide consultation on the AML services / strategies for newly onboarded Actimise Customers
• Provide ongoing consultation on AML services provided including using Actimise solutions [for e.g. SAM & WLX or ACTONE], machine learning models, recommendations on new features, etc.
• Collect and analyze financial data for potential AML, initial triage of missed alerts for Actimise clients,
• Perform tuning on transaction monitoring system to reduce false positives and improve quality of alerts.
• Prepare reports and periodic AML analytics presentations on AML trends and actionable insights for Actimise customers.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather insights, identify problems , provide solutions, and manage expectations.
• Initiate and lead key strategic initiatives.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements for data science and machine learning initiatives.
• Coach and mentor peer analytics team members on best analytic practices

Have you got what it takes?

• 8+ years of experience in financial services industry, financial crime prevention, transaction monitoring, sanctions screen etc. Experience in financial domain is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Information Technology, or related field. Certifications in business analytics or financial crime prevention [ CAMS, CFE or related] are plus.
• Experience working with Actimise solutions such as SAM, WLF is necessary.
• Proficiency in presentation tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint and similar technologies.
• Basic knowledge of machine learning algorithms, understand model performances, model governance etc.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, R and/or other data analysis framework
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills for effective stakeholder management and collaboration.
• Creative problem-solving skills , strategic thinking, and good analytical skills.
• Efficient time management, ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use AI to improve day to day performance.
