Job summary

AT&T in Bangalore, India is seeking an experienced software engineer to build and support Azure-based application services with Python APIs, secure integrations, and data-driven web capabilities. You will work on Azure-managed services, integrate with Oracle Fusion and iCertis, and deliver maintainable, production-ready components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of enterprise software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on cloud development experience (Azure preferred).
• Strong Python and API development experience.
• Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• Experience with modern web application integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and deploy Python APIs and backend services.
• Implement secure integrations with Oracle Fusion and iCertis interfaces.
• Develop and optimize relational data structures and queries for lineage and reconciliation use cases.
• Support authentication and authorization flows with Entra ID.
• Contribute to observability, incident troubleshooting, and production stability.
• Create technical documentation across design, build, test, and deployment phases.
• Participate in peer reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Follow Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement standards.
• Willingness to learn Redwood and OIC and be fungible across adjacent engineering areas.

Job Summary

This role builds and supports application services for the S2C active platform, including Python APIs, secure integrations, and data-driven web capabilities. The engineer will work on Azure-managed services, integrate with Oracle Fusion and iCertis, and deliver maintainable, production-ready components. This is an engineering-first role with strong ownership, delivery discipline, and cross-team collaboration.

Primary Skill: Azure-based application engineering with Python and enterprise integrations

Qualification

• Preferred bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of enterprise software development experience
• 3+ years of hands-on cloud development experience (Azure preferred)
• Strong Python and API development experience
• Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals
• Experience with modern web application integration patterns

Must Have Skills

• Python application development for backend services
• REST API design, development, and integration
• SQL and relational data modeling (PostgreSQL or Azure SQL)
• Azure fundamentals for application hosting (App Service or Container Apps or Functions)
• Security basics: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, Microsoft Entra ID fundamentals
• Docker basics for packaging and deployment
• Git-based source control and CI/CD pipeline usage
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and drive issues to closure

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, Alembic
• Deeper PostgreSQL skills (JSONB, indexing, query tuning, recursive queries)
• Azure API Management, Key Vault, Blob Storage, Application Insights, Log Analytics
• Infrastructure as Code exposure (Terraform or Bicep)
• AI/LLM integration exposure, prompt quality evaluation, semantic search concepts
• Vector search exposure (pgvector or Azure AI Search)
• Kubernetes exposure (AKS or OpenShift)
• Oracle Redwood UX exposure
• Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) exposure

Learning and Fungibility Expectation

• Redwood and OIC are not mandatory at entry, but willingness and ability to learn both quickly is expected
• Candidate should be fungible across adjacent engineering areas based on project needs
